1906 Eagle Pics
Hi:
I purchased this 1906 Eagle over the summer. Hope the pictures do it justice. It seems to be in very good shape. Any comments are welcome. http://forum.lugerforum.com/lfupload/ae19061_20.jpg http://forum.lugerforum.com/lfupload/ae19068_2.jpg http://forum.lugerforum.com/lfupload/ae19066_4.jpg Hope the pictures loaded! |
Just fixing them so they show up
Hal, any chance you can reveal the full serial number, let us know if the extractor says LOADED, if GERMANY is stamped on the fraem front? --Dwight http://forum.lugerforum.com/lfupload/ae19061_20.jpg http://forum.lugerforum.com/lfupload/ae19068_2.jpg http://forum.lugerforum.com/lfupload/ae19066_4.jpg |
Frame and Extractor
Thanks Dwight, I can't seem to figure out how to make the pictures appear in the text. Let's see if this works below.
The extractor does day LOADED, and GERMANY is stamped on the front of the frame. http://forum.lugerforum.com/lfupload/1906_ae__008.jpg Ok I give up, how do you paste in pictures? I tried the IMG button and the upload photo button at the top of the page. I know this is simple, that's what is making it so frustrating! |
go to the first thread you posted above, then edit it. SEE Paperp and pencil icon on lower right of the thread you posted...
then do EXACTLY what I said, replace the letters url with the letters IMG and then save it. you are reading too much into this, there are 2 ways to post; in the thread itself (NOT quick reply), there is a place to upload one picture at a time, don't even look at the IMG buttons. Upper right corner, Upload pictures, click, upload, save link and then come back to this page and click IMG, paste into white box that comes up, say okay. Simply follow these steps, don't deviate, don't read into it, just do it. Obviously you can post url links. JUST change the letters that say URL to IMG, don't touch anything else. ;) |
Thanks Ed.
Did you edit my second post or did I get the picture in correctly? When I brought up the preview the picture did not show up, but now it is there. I appreciate your time... |
Hal,
Thanks very much for the additional info. Your Luger is on record as having been in the U.S. and sold in September, 1913. Chances are it was made that year as well. --Dwight |
Dwight,
Thanks for the information. I really enjoy learning as much about my Lugers as I can. Also, thanks to Ed, I followed the directions and it worked. I will post more pictures in the near future. |
yes, I changed them. it is like adisease, I see them unloaded / shown and fix them, but don't give folks time to correct them
GOOD JOB, it gets easier each time you do it  |
