1910 DWM unit marking?

Hello all:

I succumb to the the restored 1910 DWM recently for sale on Gunbroker. I know that I should be flogged for buying a restored piece, but could not help myself. Any way, it is marked 6.K.6.18. I have been going through my references and found that the K may refer to any number of regiments, including Saxon Mounted Rifle regiment, Cuirassier Regiment, Coastal Howitizer, or Calvary. Can anyone help me norrow down the list?

There is picture of the piece and the grip markings on the gumbroker website.

The gunbroker link is

Thanks!

Hal,

Nothing wrong with a restored Luger as long as it has some redeeming values. In this case it has very rare redeeming values. I saw this one and was tempted, but have other money consuming projects. the price was fair.

6th K¼rassier(heavy cavalry) Regiment 6th Eskadron weapon #18

A very rare and beautiful unit mark. The other options would have additional markings or designators.

The 6th Squadron was attached to the 22nd Infantry Div. which battled in Russia and Romania until 1918 when it returned to France. Engaged in the Battle of the Marne and Battle of the Somme. Losing large numbers as POWs.

Thanks, I very much appreciate your help. I am very much looking forward to receiving it. Unfortunately I live in NY and I actually have to have the county judge sign off on all handgun purchases, even though I have a permit! Can't wait to leave NY.

Again, thanks for the info.
