Luger Books
I am interested in lugers and would like to do more research. Any suggestions as to which books would be most beneficial to read about lugers to get up to speed?
Thanks, Robert |

Books that you might look into buying are the 3 volume set from Jan Still. 1. Imperial Lugers 2. Weimar Lugers 3. Third Reich Lugers There are other Luger books abailable are; Luger Tips, Luger: The Miltinational Pistol, The Standard Cataloge of Lugers, plus a number of other. Most of these books are long out of print but you can still get them. The Jan Still collection is are the most detailed and informative. Good luck. Joe |

For Swiss Lugers, this book...the new price is high but it can save you thousands of dollars in the long run :
It is written both in Italian and English, side-by-side on the same page. Big over-sized book with lots of color photos of museum-quality Swiss Lugers. http://www.simpsonltd.com/product_in...oducts_id=2625 Even cheaper with shipping if you buy from Italy : http://www.abebooks.com/servlet/Book...%3D42%26y%3D15 |
Don't forget the inexpensive e-books by Mr. Henrotin (he did the drawings that are animated when you open this forum) for a basic understanding of how these pistols work and a good overview of varieties. Just keep in mind to download them ont the computer that you are going to read them on. A link is given on the Links & Resources link to the left.
