Snail Drum Disassembly

Somewhere on this forum there was a posting that had a link to a place where there were step-by-step pictures of how to partially disassemble a P08 Trommel or "snail drum" magazine. I was printing copies of these pictures when my printer ran out of ink. I now have the new cartridges installed; however, I can not find that original set of pictures. To see the first photograph, go to http://www3.sympatico.ca/john/temp/100_5199.jpg

I know there are many postings on this forum that warn against taking the drum apart for cleaning. But this contributor, evidently named John, did have about 8 good quality photographs of how to do it and clean the insides. This did NOT include going inside to the inner leaf spring, which I think is separate from the coiled spring.

Anyway, if anyone knows where this posting is or where the link is, I would appreciate knowing, because I have looked for it for days now and simply can not find it.

Thank you,

Ron

Mr. Tinker -

God bless you and thank you. I never would have found this again without your help.

The big spring is safely sealed in a welded cup where you will nevr get at it.
Only problem I see is if you break it, fini.
Don't use mine anymore.
