Need HSc info fast
Guys, I need a lightning education on the HSc.
Found one today in superb condition that is obviously a 70's remake like the 70's Mauser Lugers. It is .32 ACP. Need to decide by morning if it is worth it. How many did they make? What was the proportion of 32s to 380s? How are they for quality? And the biggie... is it worth that price? Thanks |
What price ?
|
Oops, thought I put that in: $395, no box, no papers, no target, spare mag.
|
As a carry gun, it is pretty good. I'd offer $350...

Here's one for comparison with box and goodies...

$395 is a little on the high end,
$300 to $350 is closer you can convert it to a 380 if you can find a 380 barrel Jim |
Jim et al, I do have new .380 barrels, recoil springs & mags available for conversion. hellerarms@webtv.net

Jim,
Wouldn't I also need .380 magazines? If so, even at $250 I think it would not be a very good deal. |
David, you may not be like me, but I love the .32 ACP. I carry a cheapie because it hides so easily, not because I have a great love for it as a defensive round. It is fun to play with.
Bottom line, for $250 I'd be very tempted. |
I have heard a number of complaints about the post war HSc. It appears it doesn't measure up to the quality of the one produced during the war.

I checked prices on line for these and then went in and looked at it again. It had some surface erosion/pitting on the backstrap I didn't notice yesterday (the reason I like to wait a day; too easy to miss something). I passed on it. I figured it was worth $250 and they wanted $400. No point in even asking.
I did however pick up a nice K-22 with a beautiful 1lb SA trigger pull so all was not lost. |
Love them K-22's!
