He Shoots, He Scores!!!

Just happened to log onto my local classifieds on line at just the right instant to pick up a S&W model 41 in pristine condition for $480.
But wait! There's more!!!
With at least $100 worth of red dot on top of it that I don't want or need, that means I'll be into it for $380.
Some days it DOES pay to get out of bed!!!
Anybody want a red dot for a S&W 41?

Nice :) The 41, is that the wadcutter semi?

It is nice when you "happen" across something! Although I have found that most luck finds are from persaverance.

Good going,

ed

That is a SWEET deal! Congratulations.

I just picked up a 422 a few weeks back for $200 in excellent condition. They are both really great shooters.

The S&W 41 is a 22 target auto. A very nice shooting pistol. Great deal!

oh, I thought so, but for some reason I was thinking the "red dot" was powder for reloading...

I shot a S&W 41 for 3 years on the University ROTC pistol team. We burned about 500 rounds a week. After three years it still shot a lot better than I did. No breakage, no major problems, jam rate well below 1 in 200. I am going to buy another one of these days.

Maybe when David wants to make a quick $25 :-)

Speaking of 422's, I had a 422, swapped it, indirectly, for a 2206, and loved both of them, though the 2206 gave me jamming problems for a while, but then suddenly started feeding absolutely everything. The 422 series is vastly underrated, but then a 41 is after all, a 41!

Heinz, I also competed in college ROTC using a S&W 41... it was a GREAT shooter... a real tack-driver.

Ed, I thought we shot my 41 one day? Here is a picture of one my son found in iraq. My 2nd favorite target .22, next to the 2nd series Colt Woodsman MT (however, the S&W is a better pistol)...
