Even Repros Age...
Repro leather does age and begin to look old :

Pete, I know for a fact that just using a luger makes them age. I have a 1914 Erfurt, was heavily buffed, but was my first luger, so I keep it. If it had been carefully reblued (instead of a heavy buff), and / or faked on purpose, my using it the last 15-20 years (since 1982, how many years is that?), me using it these years periodically, well, it has wear on the muzzle, wear on the sideplate, etc. It now appears to be a 98% gun.
This is just normal wear and tear, seldom sees a arty holster, in fact almost never, but to me, this is proof of how a gun reacts to time and slight usage... |
Ed,
I was commenting on how repro leather from the 1960-70's will now show age and leather "patina" or oxidation from leather aging... |
