Price Check 1937 Luger

All matching numbers, near mint condition, 1937 with good condition holster that came with it. Taken from a soldier near Berlin. Also pictured is a German grid compass with holster. If anyone knows what that might be worth I would interested to know as well. Any other questions you may have let me know, if it helps to guess a price. The holster also has s spot for the luger tool which is included.

Bob, welcome to the forum. Is it all matching? Approx serial number (there are some that are "all" blued including trigger and other parts that are not blued on an early 1937.

Is it for sale and thus why you put it into the "for sale" section. If it is, please add a price, as it is required for posting a for sale item. If not for sale, I can move it to the New Collectors area for questions (we can move it later if you decide to sell it).

More and clearer pictures would be good.

where would the serial number be found? i plan on selling it but wanted to know about what its worth considering i havent sold one before.

Edward Tinker 06-11-2007 07:45 PM

Look on front of frame, there is a 1, 2, 3 or 4 digit number and a letter under it.

There is also a number on the left of the frame.

I will move this to the new collector area. You are welcome to ask questions and then post it. However, this is not an auction, so "best" offer is not acceptable on the forum, see how to post for sale items if you'd like additional tips on selling.

17 13 is on the front of the gun as well as S/42 on the top. 1937 is the date. number 13 on all the parts.

I'll take it for $350.

Aaron 06-12-2007 10:56 AM

How many magazines does it have? What are the numbers on the bottom of the mags?

EagleArmsHBAR 06-12-2007 08:54 PM

OK, fine I will go as high as $600. Want to trade for an American issued M1 Garand?

OLDJARHEAD 06-12-2007 10:20 PM

Hello bluesteel

What is your price ?

If you want an auction put it on Gunbroker .

EagleArmsHBAR looks like a big spender.

Mike, Bob asked a question. The least we can do is answer it. Tim is the one trying to make it into an auction...I cannot tell if Tim is jesting or he is ignorant of Luger prices in today's market.

Bob, If this Luger is what it appears to be, all matching and unmolested I would place it's value at $2500 or higher depending on the possibility of a matching magazine. This estimate is based on the pistols excellent condition boardering on 98+%. The holster and tool are not shown so I cannot give an intelligent opinion on these items. Hope this helps. Jerry Burney

Since I don't have a huge budget for firearms, $600 is the amount I am willing to pay. If it is obviously worht more than $600, I guess it is out of my price range.

bluesteel 06-13-2007 01:46 PM

Ill post pictures of the holster and tool in the next day as well as the numbers of the magazines.

bluesteel 06-13-2007 08:04 PM

Bottom of the clip has 7675 and the side has 122. With 69 rounds.
