My Lugers

I wanted to share with you my 4 lugers that I have accumulated over the last 6 months. This is the extent of my collection. I have not as yet focused on a particular area to collect, these were the result of various opportunities and itches that had to be scratched.

From top to bottom, 1917 Artillery I purchased from a relative of a vet. It has the grip chip that almost kept me from the purchase.

My ugly Betty, a 1940 42 mis-match. This was purchased from the vet himself. Says he got it off a prisoner in 1945. His memory was not the best however. It shoots great, except for the safety which will not stay put.

My 1936 S42 re-blue, mostly matching incl mag. This was my first purchase and I payed too much but I wanted a good looking Luger to learn as much as I could.

1900 AE Test. I will leave the analysis to you experts as a quiz to see if you accurately analyze the gun. As soon as possible, I will enter each gun in its proper section on the forum. That may take a few days and I look forward to your analysis. I have learned so much by just reading your posts and all the books I have and in the communications I have had with a few of you. Thanks for your help.

Very nice collection Erndog105, looking forward to see them again.. espesially the Artillery and AE Test;)

It's probably possible to fix that safety lever on Betty, perhaps take it out and bend it gently closer to the frame if not chaning the pin works.

erndog105,
nice start! Better to start like you did then to not start at all.

Very nice showing! Especially the AE... Many Luger collectors never get to add one to their collection and you have one after only four... :D

Beautiful quartet!

A beautiful quartet of Lugers. I especially like the Artillery model.
