John S, John D, Ed, and All of my many other FORUM FRIENDS,
This is a very bad time for me! For the past six weeks I have been struggling to find the best words to bring before you what could at any time be my last contact.
On April 17 my Cancer was determined to be no longer responsive to the most advanced medications, and that any further use of these chemicals would do more harm to me than to the cancer.
I therefore have been withdrawn from all farther treatment and have been
referred to Hospice for comfort pain relief and support for the little time I have remaining, or that the Lord may grace me with.
At present this may be as little as a few weeks as the tumors are now encircling the aorta and closing off the flow of blood and that could
result in a massive rupture at any time.
In this event I have chosen "DO NOT RESUSITATE"!

I have lost weight, from one hundred ninty five pounds last april when the cancer was rediscovered, to my present weight of about
one hundred thirty pounds. My pain remains tolerable with the regular administration of large doses with "Morphine Patches" and "Morphine Mouth Drops" used as needed.

I intend to hang in here "LIKE A TWO TAILED MONKEY" and continue to "Post as long as I remain capable. It now appears that the has been a bit extended by a Mothers Day gift of First Daughter to Billie (my wife) of a new "Lap Top Computer", Which I am presently using.

For any who may wish to contact me Email the address on this computer is;

viggogd@peoplepc.com or I remain available thru PM on the forum

With that I will now sign off and get a bit of rest.

thanks Ed.....makes collecting Lugers really a small thing, as comparied to our Fathers plans for us, I have as always, send Viggo a brief note, and to all my brothers here, it is not the guns we collect on lifes path, but the times we stop and help others along the way.....

Viggo, I have been through this with three Friends in the last year. Hospice is a Godsend and I hope they will be able to help untill you cross. Life is a joy to be treasured but death is a gift from God. No more pain and misery.
God only cries for the living....You will be missed by all of us here and thank you for the update on your condition. Ellie and I will send our prayers for you and your Family. Rest well my Friend, Jerry

I don't know Viggo but I do feel this pain. I too have lost, and am still loosing, friends to this insidious thing.

May he find the comfort and peace he seeks. It reminds me to enjoy each day as it is truly a gift. Live for today for none of us gets out alive.

GodSpeed, Viggo... :(

O God of resurrection, who raised Jesus Christ from the dead, we pray to you on behalf of all who are dying this day. May they know the comfort of your presence, the power of your love to give life even in the face of death, and the hope of your salvation. May they be blessed with the presence of family and friends to banish their lonliness and fears, the love of those who care for them to ease their pain, and the hope of always being remembered by those who they have loved. All this we ask through the one who died for us that we might live, Jesus Christ, our Savior. Amen.

God Bless,
Steven

Viggo, may the ultimate comfort of being God's presence comfort you forever.

Your presence here will be sorely missed by your many good friends.

Be assured that we will meet again and have eternity to converse.

You and your family are in my prayers as always.

Hi VIGGO, I have not had the privilege of knowing you but because of CHRIST, I will meet you some day on the other side. You and your family will be in my prayers. Eternity is a lot longer than this present life and the suffering here, though hard, is short compared to the blessings to come. May GOD"S peace and comfort be with you. Doug
