G date magazine
What am I missing?
$710.00 for a magazine! Is this realistic? What makes it a G date? The E/154? I've got one of these in the same condition. Is it really worth that much? Bob |
I forgot the link

Hi Bob,
I guess they are kind of scarce, but I'm with you. Unless it matches the high bidders Luger, which must be the case...?? But someone has to be running the bid up, because the last few are proxy bids , and then another bidder topped that. There can't be two G dates with the same (legitimate that is) serial number. Maybe this one will end up with an entirely new number by the time it's all said and done. Ron |
They are not $710 scarce.
As I recall, the seller had such a magazine a while back that 'sold' - not bounced by Ebay. I wonder if that buyer returned it. I do not remember what it sold for though. |
James,
Here's the holster to go with it. I can't believe someone would pay $300+ for this holster. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...5526&rd=1&rd=1 |
That is an Imperial issue holster, not a 1935 dated model. Any G-Date Luger would fit in it, even one with a $710 mag, but it is not "correct" for that year.
Your correct, that mag is way over the top in price. Joe |
