BW Grip Prices...
Pretty high on eBay :
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...m=300108913139 I sure liked this price better...;) http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...6516&rd=1&rd=1 http://forum.lugerforum.com/lfupload/17a5_1.jpg http://forum.lugerforum.com/lfupload/1710_1.jpg |
WOW. Wonder if I could get that out of my set?

Congratulations Pete:)
334$ ! Jeeez.. must have been a brutal bidding war! I see the seller with the cheaper grips are from France. I guess the prices on Lugers and accessories are still cheaper outside the US. With just not enough collectors with a valid license to make a marked for them. ..Oslo is currently the worlds most expensive city, still, it's quite easy to find a nice shooter at 160$, like this one http://www.finn.no/finn/bap/object?f...01&pos=1&tot=3 here (the price of 14 beer or 20 gallons of fuel). Would by it if I could, but I can't get a license for another Luger.. With the fantastic new thing called internet, it has become much easier to compare value and sell internationally. So when large lot's of parts is available, the price usually ends up just a little under the normal "ebay-price". |
Hello Steinar,
I must have been lucky and caught our French LF members sleeping that day. I placed my bid and forgot about it...I was surprised to win and saw that no other bidders jumped in... Luckly our USA government does not limit how many Lugers we can own...only our WIVES do that...;) |
..our wives do it also, as a second barrier ;)

I thought a gamble of $ 28 on this pair out of CZ would be worthwhile :
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...0%3D%26fvi%3D1 When they come home in a week or so, I will report to let you know if repro or original. If repro, they will be nice for my shooters. They seemed to look a lot like the grips shown in Gibson's book on page 46 but instead of brown, they are black. They even have the slight "off set" of the width of the border, just below the thumb safety cut-out area on the left grip as does the pair Gibson shows in his boo. http://i165.photobucket.com/albums/u...eBayGrips1.jpg http://i165.photobucket.com/albums/u...eBayGrips2.jpg |
BTW...the first pair I won on eBay for about $ 80 is a real pair that appears to have been un-issued. I can see fibers in the resin with a 10x loupe. Have the density of bakelite as well.

Enjoy shooting the pair coming from CZ Pete... They are Reproduction in my opinion...but the exterior looks nice. Hope they are a good fit for you.

Patrice...thank you !

Here are the pair of grips from CZ...front and back photos.
They are bakelite, very dense and heavy, and you can see fibers here and there in the resin. They make a "clacking" sound when tapped together...like the musical casenettas... Fit was very good on my byf Luger. One needed a bit of slightest fit along the screw opening along the bottom. On each grip, BOTH holes along the back sides are threaded. If they are a "repro" product, they are very nice. Especially at this price...;) http://forum.lugerforum.com/lfupload...cz__fronts.jpg http://forum.lugerforum.com/lfupload..._cz__backs.jpg |
