Commercial Database version 2 available
1 Attachment(s)
After a year of intensive information gathering I have prepared a new edition of the DWM Commercial Database for download. It is still being graciously hosted by the Luger Forum, and the .pdf file can be downloaded by clicking the link at the bottom of the page.
It is quite a large file, and will take some time to download if you are on dialup. This version of the database has more than a thousand new entries, and the formatting of post- 1906 guns has been revised slightly so detail entries make more sense. There is also a new section for 1920 Carbines. The .pdf file is thoroughly bookmarked for ease of navigation. I've enjoyed assembling this database, and I hope it proves useful. My continued thanks go to everybody who has sent me serial numbers and information. I am still adding numbers, so if you have a DWM commercial Luger which is not on the list, or if you have a gun which is listed but you can fill in information, please contact me dwightg@pacifier.com, and thanks very much for your help. --Dwight |

I have an addition to the list
Serial Number - 8372 Model - AE Proof - No Swiss + on barrel - No Grip Safety - Narrow Safety - Type 2 Takedown lever - SN on bottom export marks - Germany Additional notes: * The barrel is chambered for the .30 cal and does not have a serial number stamped on it. * The rear sight on the gun has had a peep sight added in place of the V-shape sight with a dovetail design (nicely done). * There is some pitting around the american eagle which is hard to still read. All other parts are proper to the gun. See pics I added in forum for early model lugers - Thread about rear sight (peep Sight). |

My 1920 luger Carbine
|
Thanks for compiling so much information.
I recently purchased my first luger, it's not in your database... 1906, serial 26549, 9mm. The only markings are the serial #s, DWM on the toggle and geladen on the extractor. Numbers match. Very good condition, too good to be original maybe. Bought it at an estate sale along with a nazi army dress dagger. |
