"Edmundo"AKA Jerry comes through again~
 

As many of you are unaware of this, I'll explain. There's a character on the forums who goes by "lugerholsterepair " who claims to be Jerry Burney.

Actually it's two wizzened little old ladies in Colorado who hired a Basquo sheep herder named Edmundo, to do leather work for them under a nomdeplume.

They give him a place to stay and a sandwich now and then in return for his excellent holster work. He often migrates to Arizona to settle in and do the work, when it's too cold for the sheep in the Colorado winter.

This is a scarce 1915 Reichswehr reworked holster that I recently aquired. It was in need of some serious help. So I sent it to Edmundo aka "Jerry" for the needed repairs.

The strap was coming unstitched. As well as the hinge, and the stitching had worn through on several other parts.

1915 holsters are not all that scarce, in and of themselves, but a reworked and reissued 1915 holster unit marked to the Reichswehr Reichsheer 18th Reiter Regiment isn't something you run across everyday.

Edmundo did forget to put a tool and cleaning rod in, but you can't have everything...

Seriously , Jerry is a good friend, and without doubt the best at his craft that you will ever find anywhere. If you want it done right and as close to original as you can ever get. Jerry Burney is the absolute best there is, bar none...

Ron, Thanks for the glowing comments about my work. I know it took some time and trouble to display it so nicely. Your holster did indeed come out very well. It was in a sad state but thankfully all the parts were there and in good shape. I am glad I could be of some service to you and we were able to help preserve this rare holster for the future.
I also appreciate your patronage of my craft.

One other thing, your invisable Friend Edmundo..He was captured by INS Agents while crossing the border. I believe he was in detention for some time and the last I saw of him he was being led into Algodones Mexico off a Border Patrol bus with a pkg of peanut butter crackers and a Pepsi. get some therapy. ..and Doctor Jerry is a magician..he has just finished to restore my LP08 soft shell holster; It's enough to drive me mad to have it back in my hands..:)

Ron, Well, you know they have a bad habit of sneaking back in...They might discover he is Basque and pitch him out of Mexico. Sorry to hear about your therapist but I understand his plight completely.

Christian, Your rare and valuble Artillery should show up anyday now and be back home . I hope it dosen't get lost again for another 4 months!

Are you sure it was Algodones, Mexico? I believe I saw him not to far from here in Algodones, New Mexico.

As for therapy, I like therapy. Massage therapy.
Or a day out shooting. Either one works for me.
