Parabellum Carbine
 

I found this on Auctinarms.com. One of the carbines made by Mauser in the 1970's.

Absolutely nice item.
I don't see the certificate and the test target but I assume thy are available.
The price is absolutely good so far, only 250 made.
I hope someone of us will win this carbine.

I wish that I had the money. If I did, I would not have made my post about it!

It would be nice if someone on this forum buys it. The question that I have is about its legality in the US. Would someone need a special permit to have it in this country? It is less than a 16 inch barrel and has a shoulder stock and is not an old gun.

It is interesting that the post WW2 Mauser folks made this carbine with non dished toggles, much like a 1920 carbine. Nevertheless this piece will certainly gain in value as time goes on.

The Gun is a C&R and exempt from the SBR requirement. Keoki and I bought one of these as a part of a 7 or 8 gun collection of Mauser Parabellum commeratives a few years back. The carbine was cute but the workmanship was no where near as good as the original 1920 carbines much less the '02.

Workmanship! It looks like it was made by Mattell. I know there are collectors who will disagree but I don't care for this second rate product at all. Like putting a wig and lipstick on a pig. I ain't gonna kiss it. Jerry Burney

Approx. 2 years ago at the Reno show a gentleman had an Interarms Mauser carbine complete, cased with a spare mag., loading tool, inst. booklet and cleaning rod. I believe he was asking 5500.00 and it was mint. As I recall, Ralph looked at it and passed. I gave some thought to buying it but I found it very crude overall and passed also. I went home two days later and he still had it on his table. Chuck
