1900 American Eagle Price Range
What are the price ranges for a 95%...98%...Pristine 100% for a typical non-military 1900 American Eagle with no alterations and in original configuration. Is there a premium for a type 1 safety or type 2?
Thanks for your help...Jon |
I would be very suspicious of a 1900 AE with a type 1 safety. The type 1 safety was phased out around serial number 900, give or take a few, and the 1900 AE appeared at #2002. I have heard of a couple of three-digit serial number American Eagles, but have never examined one. It is remotely possible that they may have a type 1 safety. I am no authority on price ranges but I would guess $2500...$4500...$6000 respectively.

1900AE sn 792 is pictured on pp62-63 of Luger Variations. Its listed as being out of Harry Jones's collection. It has a type-1 safety and c/BUG proofs--both uncharacteristic of post-sn2002 AE production. 1900AE sn 735 is also in the database. I would imagine that a gun like this--if authentic--would be extraordinarily expensive.

The problem is, once you own one, You will never part with it. I was lucky, Ralph Shattuck, owned three beauties, and He sold me one, he owned for more than fifty years, also I purchased a beautiful Test Holster, Be wary, there are some fake holsters being sold. Eric, Esq.
