Fastener
Greetings, Gentlemen,
This is a photo of a fastener used to secure adjustment on my holster shoulder strap. I am looking for a couple more of them for another shoulder strap I am making. I can't find any because I have no idea what they are called. I can always make them if I have to, but would prefer to buy. What is the proper name? http://forum.lugerforum.com/lfupload/fastener.jpg |
Ralph..Brass Shoulder strap adjustment studs Is what I would call them. These are not correct in shape for the Imperial Artillery or Navy..What is it off of? A repro? Jerry Burney
|
Yes. It's off a CMR repro Artillery. I have an original stock for my LP08, but opted for repro leather. It will be carried and used. Don't care if it gets banged or scratched.
I am making up a rig for my wife's Stoeger 6". So far, have everything I need but the studs and a repro two magazine pouch. There again, all repro. Know of any sources? |
Ralph, I have a box full of old strap adjustment studs , some repro, some original but nothing like this one. Rounded on both ends. Typical of CMR to make up something fantasy wise. They would make a pretty decent holster if they would pay the slightest attention to details.
You might try contacting CMR but I have found them to be of little help anytime I tried. How thick is the strap you are wanting these for? I may have a set for you if it is not overly thick. Jerry |
Greetings, Jerry,
The strap thickness is approximately .115" to .120". Repro's fine. Need two. Send email to tell me how I can pay you. Very much appreciated. ralfhuff@accnorwalk.com |
Ralph, That's a little thick but let me paw thru my stuff and I will see what I can come up with. Jerry Burney
Ralph, I have a nice matching pair that might suit your needs, rounded head, flat bottom, .400 diameter. Distance between heads, .310, shaft diameter, .1,65. Nice patina, not sure if original or not. $12.00 shipped if you want them. Jerry Burney |
Sounds good, Jerry. Check email.
