Stoeger parts help

Hello does anyone know where I can locate an extractor and pin for My Stoeger American Eagle 9mm Luger? The phone number and e mail link to Aimco/ortgies? is not in service. You all seem like a great group thank You all for your time and help on this matter Walter:cheers:

I have never seen any spare parts listed anywhere for this gun.
Sarco, Numrich, Bob's Guns, and others have extensive parts inventory for exotic and rare guns, but no Stoeger stainless steel .... no one.
There will be a great rejoicing when a source is found, if one exists.
IMHO, the only source will prove to be junked guns, parted out.

One optimistic note ... the extractor seems one of the interchangable parts with the standard P08, you could strip the blue from one of them, and just keep the gun well oiled, or have it hard chromed to nearly match the stainles steel.

The following parts seem to be interchangeable, to an extent .... from what has been mentioned in threads .....
the hold-open, the extractor, the ejector, firing pin and spring and retainer,

THe following parts are NOT iinterchangable, based on my previous ownership of 3 Stoeger stainless Luger 9's ...
Sear bar, take-down lever, take-down spring ( the Stoeger has a ball in the take-down lever ), the magazine, the frame ...

Other parts, I don't know about and can't say .... other members with experience/knowledge are invited to add to these compatibility lists .....

If you do get this gun repaired, it might be a good idea to retire it to a collection, or sell it, before any other parts break or deform.

I willingly admit I am BIASED against these guns. Got burned 3x on them, trying to find one that would function reliably.

Hi,

All the US-stainless versions were made by one company. It now is called 'Orimar' and it's contact info is somewhere on this site's homepage.

The last good number I had for Mr. Romo was 713 305-8540. I spoke to him on that number last spring. I just called the number and a non english speaking person answered the phone( sounded like spanish) and it seemed like thier home number. It definately was not AIMCO.

Hopefully Mr Romo just changed phone numbers and is not out of business.

My Mitchell luger had a roll pin for the Extractor pin.

Hope this helps,

Chris
