Simpson Ltd 1920 Commercial

Here is one that I keep going back to on the Simpson site:

http://www.simpsonltd.com/product_in...oducts_id=4444

In apparently absolutely beautiful conditio with two magazines, holster and tool. I'm tempted but keeping turning away at the price of $2195 which seems high for a commerical version.

Does anyone have an opinion on what such a pistol might sell for?

Thank you for any replies, David

David,

If I were looking for a nice 1920's in 7,65 mm...I would seriously look at the nice offering for only $ 1250 on the bottom of this FGS web site...scroll down to the bottom.

It's mag does have a small chip...so maybe hunt down an unmarked or "germany" marked magazine for another # 125 or so.

With some extra time, you could easily find a "proper" holster in nice condition for maybe $ 250...

I'd go with Pete on this. I am still of the opinion that even the FGS gun's price is scraping the stratosphere, but I have been told that my price conceptions are too low.

On the other hand, a proper commercial holster with a leather-covered buckle and a cleaning rod will run you over $500--and if it is a nice one, it will be worth every penny.

Here is one one may snag for a bit over $ 650.

Crazy looking magazine bottom on this one...

Dwight,

Granted the nice commercial holsters with their leather-wrapped buckles woud be the collectors' choice.

But would a WWI-style holster with no markers marks or date also be appropriate for a 1920's commercial luger ?
