What a shame - if it's true
I came across this UK site:
http://www.deactivated-guns.co.uk/detail/Borchardt.htm Deactivated!!! Balder |
might be a shame, but if I was in the UK, I'd rather own a deac than none.
Although, any gun made before 1900 I thought was exempt from the deac laws... Ed |
John,
Do a search for "Cody" on the Fourm and you will see a posting titled "Very Odd Borchardt" I started back on 2-8-2006. I did not know there were two Cody's...a lesser Cody and a greater Cody. Some of the other posters "eddie-cated" me...;) |
It sickens me to think that any government would allow such mistreatment of such an historical firearm, nevermind demand it be done.
WTF is wrong with the world? |
I read that since the gun ban in England, stabbings have increased. In response to this they are proposing banning certain types/sizes of knives. Perhaps one of our friends from the UK can verify this for us.
|
I read about that too. But there was an awful lot of opposition to that from the Damn-can't-you-people-get-any-sense Party (formerly associated with the American Whig Party).
|
First I thought, 'that must be a very hard selling Borchardt!'. But at a closer look I noticed that it's sold.
wouldn't mind having it, just to see how the mechanism work, and to cry a little over the deactivation, then resell it.. my guess is that it will show up again. ..and again and again. |
