I am guessing you have a specific question on a 1942 mauser made 42 marked luger?

You are correct that the numbers are dates. They are stamped on the top of the chamber, and collectors commonly identify their Lugers by manufacturer and date.

The Variations are identified by date also, which can be a cause for confusion. Military Lugers are designated by the date when they were accepted as the service pistol. Thus:

Pistole 1904 is the official designation for German Navy Lugers. They may be found with blank chambers or dated 1916 and 1917.

Pistole 1908 is the official designation for the German Army Luger. All standard German military Lugers, with any chamber date, fall under the P-08 category.

In 1914 a stock lug was added to the standard P-08. Collectors have identified this as the 1914 variation. All Lugers (P-08) with a chamber date of 1914 or later are of this variation.

It is not quite clear what you wish to know about your 41 42 Luger. Perhaps if you ask the question in Deutsch someone here may understand better.

magazine serial dont match (1001)
sometimes bullet does not enter it chamber and the weapon blocks.
what is the reason anny suggenstions.

DWM is the manufacturer, 1914, 1915 ... is the year of production.

The pictures are examples and not all years are show.

Regarding your 41 Code 42 Luger, could you please show photos of your Luger? Especially, the serial number on the front of the frame and the left side of the frame near the safety lever.

The proper magazine for this Luger should be marked 122 and have Waffenamt Marks Eagle-over-37 on the same side as the 122 marking. It would be nice to find a magazine that matches your serial number, but if you could find one marked with a "n" suffix on the bottom, that would be great.

I think we must have more details to help you with the cartridge block problem. Your magazine (2/1001) is a post war version of the 122 and fxo magazines, but excellent. What ammo are you using? Do you keep your wrist strong on the grip when you are shooting the pistol? Is your Luger properly cleaned and lubricated?
