North Hollywood .44 AutoMag with:

Original foamed filled case, literature, reloading dies, 3 clips, 1 box sandia (mexico), 1 box Norma, spare parts kit, clip pouch, wrenches and oil bottle (full). Still looking for close flap holster.

oh, cool and all the paperwork too. For whatever reason I have always wanted (before dirty Harry came out, or whichever one it was). Want a Wildey too, neither is that expensive...

Thanks for the kind words Ed. You got the money, you could own it..hahahaha

Rick, nice pistols. I think the North Hollywodd pistols are better quality with tighter tolerances. That's why they are the most accurate of the different manufactures. I keep the gun away from the foam by wrapping it in an oil cloth and placing bubble wrap between the foam and gun. My El Monte is pitted because the previous owner let it sit on the foam for years. The El Monte is my shooter. The Automag in the picture has never been fired but I do shoot my El Monte .44 with 6" barrel. The mexican ammo is very dirty. I shot with the mexican stuff and will never again. The new .44 ammo is by Corbon and it is very hot. I called them and they said the ammo is powered correct. I think if they look at their Automag bolt stop they would find it starting to mushroom. I only shoot reloads now and powder them down a bit. When I fired my pistol for the first time, it startled the hell out of me and shot a 3 foot flame. My wife thought the pistol blew up in my face. It really scared her bad.

The .357 has excellent muzzle velocity and would be great as a carbine for long distance varmint hunting.

Thanks again Ed, Rick.

Ed, I know your into simson. There is a simson clip for sale on eBay. Are you "weimar police"?

Edward Tinker 01-19-2007 11:13 PM

I am weimar police, and it is being offered by a gentleman on this forum. If someone "needs" it they are welcome to it. :) I just am picking up examples as they come onto the market.

Rick, very cool

"gentleman"?

most of the time :D

Scarce is right Rick. The extra clips, spare parts kit and clip pouch took a while to find. There isn't much leather out there for the AutoMag. Still looking for holster but that's like looking for a unicorn. Other than the holster, my small AutoMag compilation is complete. I was fortunate to collect these items before the prices went up and availability became almost nill. I was a member of the AutoMag Forum years ago but those guys are to excentric for me.

Other than the AutoMag Forum, your the only AutoMag owner I've met. Our circle is very small.

Hi Conny,
You could ask Jerry Burney (lugerholsterrepiar) to make a holster for you. I'm not sure if he only makes and repairs luger holsters, but it's worth a try. You'll be in for a treat doing business with him.

The time has come to sell. I have posted it on GunsAmerica. I have it listed expensive so it may not sell. If it does sell, good for me.
