Simson magazine matching
I have been collecting Simson information for the last ten years; in addition, I have been collecting Simson pistols, magazines and tools.
I will list my wants, and then magazines that I own. I am willing to trade for a like magazine, possibly sell, but ONLY if it matches a Simson luger you actually own. I'd like some kind of proof, as it has taken me a long time to pick these up. Although not as costly as Krieghoff magazines, a Simson magazine is almost always over $150 - $300 each. A Simson magazine to be completely correct should have, two eagle 6's and an eagle 6 on the spine and generally is nickle. If they have one eagle 6, then I believe it is a rework or armorer replacement. NOTE: There are about 1/5th with wood bottoms, and this appears totally correct, I believe they ran out and used what they had. Legend: Eagle 6 = E6 x2 or x1 Spine eagle 6 = e6 I have the following, will try to get more precise; 1575 3192 4699 6423 8734 9145 9601 blank base one eagle 6 blued body 874a 89397 eagle 46's 3874 4183 5197 5292 I own these Simson - so looking for early mags 12 62 69 248 701 0047a |
Howdy,
Is 7673+ E6x2 e6 available? My Simpson is number 7616. You reference it in your book. |
Dick, I am sorry, I must have sold or traded that magazine, I have updated my list above. Hopefully whomever I traded it with sees your note.

I matched up a restamped (but many, many years ago) #542 from Don Hallocks listing and that is the magazine you have now.
In all my years of looking (all of 9 yrs looking seriously, but collecting for 35 years), I have had 2 matched up, and one was wrong period, the 2nd was this simson.... ed |
Updated listing above for the Simson Magazines I have
