Luger Restoration Article...
I have a paper copy of the article gunsmith Dave Norin wrote back in 2002 for the "Man At Arms' magazine.
The article is titled "Spotting Luger Restorations". The photos in the article are difficult to see (as mine is a copy of a copy) but the text is a worthwhile read for beginning collectors. It is 8-pages long and I have it saved as a pdf-file (you need the free Adobe Acrobat Reader to open the file). If you have interest, drop me a PM with your email address and I will send the pdf-file to you...for educational purposes. I did not want to post it here, as I think there are some copyright issues. |
If you need it here's another free PDF reader that's smaller, faster, and better in general. No spyware either.
There's also a non-free pro version for those who like extra fluff. http://www.foxitsoftware.com/pdf/rea...own_reader.htm M.W. |
Another article about "fakery' in general on the Man At Arms web site :

A member over on Jan Still's Gun Boards indicated this link to purchase an original copy of the article...if folks want the benefit of the original with probably much more-clear photos in the article :
