Presentation case
 

I had to give it a try myself. A little inspired of things I have seen here ;)
The result became quite well, but I'm not too happy with the 'drum effect' on the velour. Since the Luger is heavier than the other items, they tend to 'pop up'. Wish that stuff was more elastic :rolleyes:
Perhaps some suggestions?

I'm in the planning stage for a case and considered using a hollowed out styrofoam insert with a latex adhesive being used to hold down the fabric.

Most likely I will build a more traditionally styled case with oak or poplar stock purchased at Lowe's.

It was my 'test try'.
I made an outline-draw of the Luger and tools, and hollowed them out. In the proper depth, but since the fabric is not very elastic.. items tend to pop out of their places.

When I find a better way to to this, I will try to make a case from a twisted cherry three that need to be cut down outside my house. I have the equipment to make the boards, but not sure of the best way to dry the wood without geting cracks? ..slowly in a plastic bag perhaps?
Size will be the same, just without the glass.
