Looks like a decent original '06 Eagle. The front sight is a replacement.

Does that look like an old refinished to you?
About how much should this pistol sell for?

I think the blue is original and the front sight as been calibrated with a file. I will leave value to the experts. clint

When I said it was "original", I meant that it has not been re-blued.

Barrel markings do have halos and pin through the toggle is white and the polished thumb safety area looks good.

Might it have some touch-ups here and there ?

Also...might this be a chip in the metal of some sort ?

He added new photos showing the AE I asked to see. If I understand correctly, that is an early, long frame?

Thank you Pete. I studied those before and thought I had the differences memorized but, shoot, chaulk up a bolo on that one. Combination CRS and Oltimerz desease.

If the sight is incorrect, the Germany incorrect, possible chipped metal, what would the value be? I have given thought to bidding on it but it has to many flaws that I would never have known. Glad I waited.

I have a BUG proofed '06 AE that is one of the most minty Lugers I own. It is #48710, Type V frame. The barrel markings have a halo but the GERMANY does not. However, it is possible that the front of the frame on this piece (#45650) may have had some touch up...I don't think so but it is hard to tell due to the angle and glare of the photo. Given the overall condition of the gun, this to me is inconsequential.

The wrong sight on the barrel is an easy thing to fix. Stefan Mahrer in Switzerland sells the "right" sight blade for the 4-3/4" pencil barrel and you see them on eBay and eGun all the time.

Ron Wood has seen lots more lugers that I. If the "Germany" stamping is documented to be done both before or after bluing, then this may not be an issue. I have seen about 25 or so "Germany" stamped lugers in person and those all had some "halo" effect around the stamping.

I would certainly ask for more photos of what looks like the "chip" out of the metal along the right side of rear of the receiver. It may or may not be anything...

But since I shoot every luger I buy, I would certainly want to know about what appears to be a "chip". If it is a "chip", I am not sure how safe it would be to shoot...

If there is no "chip"...and I were after this one, I think my maximum bid would be $ 1650 or so...but my wife says I am cheap...;)

Thank you again Pete. Unfortunately, I'm cheaper. I've been emailing him for a few days and was going to offer $1,300.00 If the bidding doesn't reach what he wants, he may take it. Who knows, I may luck out. I think I may pass on this one while watching how high the bidding goes. This luger is also on Gunbroker and I believe it is relisted.

I think there is no chip, but a continuation of the ejector cut.
