Got my C&R license.... do I owe $2.25?
 

It was waiting in the mail when we got back from two weeks at the beach yesterday, Saturday, August 25. I mailed the app. and check for $30 on June 22 and my check cleared June 27; so apparently BATF took the full 60-day period allowed by statute to issue a license or notify an applicant of denial. OTOH--Also included in my stack of mail were five packets of information BATF deems necessary that the collector must know; but each packet contained identical enclosures, and each packet was mailed at a cost of $6.45, for a total of $32.25. Tell me guys, do I owe the feds $2.25 or do they owe us all an explanation of why they wasted $25.80?

Welcome to the joys of dealing with the ATF licensing folks. Some new Crufflers have received no packets of information, some have received three or four packets, and some have received over ten packets
