Ebay Magazines ID
I was surfing ebay looking for my needle in the pervebial haystack ...the matching clip for my 1936 S/42 #2511h when I ran across this....
http://cgi.ebay.com/WW2-German-Luger...em280056976137 This is interesting...what sort of magazine is this and what years would this have been applicable to? SGT Getch |
This is an official replacement magazine, it will go for over $200, easy. Having one of these makes for wantabe matching luger and mag, as this would be an armorers replacement mag for one damaged or lost.
I have sold both of mine I came across, and I should have kept them... Ed |
Ed,
What would the acceptance mark indicate for a year of manufacture Getch |
Hi Kerry, hope your 1936 is treating you well!! :)
The stick eagle over 63 Waffenamt Mark was used during the later part of 1937 and the early part of 1938. The proper magazine for your pistol would be a droop eagle over 63 and the tube should be nickle plated, not blue. It would be great to find one in the H-Block!! Good Luck!! |
Thanks Frank!
I know you had told be B4 I just couldnt find the e-mail! Yes I am very satisfied and I think you gave me a sweet deal too. I watch other simular guns do well at auction and believe mine to be in better shape. I still havent shot the weapon. Im scared I will break something. I will probably buy a extractor at a minimum. I have a question that I will PM you on concerning the operation of that weapon SGT Getch |
The magazine might have the bottom ground down to appear as a replacement magazine..

Just an unsolicited opinion from someone who has absolutely no expertise in these matters, but it sure looks like someone took a loose belt sander to the bottom of that magazine and then stamped it.......
