Looks like a nice honest piece. On the left side, I have the same darkening on one of my simsons', unsure what caused it, if it was wood planks, I'd swear it was leaves...

A nice arty 10e.licorne! Probably a lot of history in that Luger.
Hard to tell from pictures, but the toggle might look a little 'too good' compared to the rest?

Would you mind indicating if your luger's serial number has a letter-suffix on the front of the frame just below the seial number, above the trigger guard ?

This may help Jan Still and others who keep track of the serial number range of such LP-08'. The 1918's Artilleries were a much smaller number than the previous years production.

for morgan all serial number matching toggle too it seen an "artist" as reblue with a "gunbleue" some parts and they become with the time more brown

the only comment that I could add is that, from the above pictures, is that the two digit serial numbers on the 'Locking Bolt' look like '99' and not '44'. Are the grips numbered to the gun? Nice photography.

it's seen to be change may be in the same time when the artist as reblue the barrel (or before ?) we can see an a blow of grinding stone "coup de meule in french" on one, and an "L" on the auther

The '44' on the Locking Bolt once again proves that there is no substitute for physically looking at the gun.

The 'L' on the bottom side of the grip is probably an inspectors mark. The wood/stain appears to be different between the two sides of the grips but its good enough.

I just bought myself a new digital camera and so I am closely watching what everyone is doing with their pictures. I have no plans to take pictures of myself with my new camera for fear that I may break it. :)
