Hyatt Shop Offering...

This one looks decent, but then I notice the extractor that looks a bit too narrow :

Gads, Pete!! You have the eyes of an eagle, or shall I say that an eagle has the eyes of a Pete!! What you say "appears" to be correct, with your comparison photo. Is is possible that the owner of the piece actually fabricated a wrong sized 1900 extractor, or can one guess that there was natural variation in the original manufacture?

Any chance its a bad replacment in a original pistol? It looks like it just does not quite fill the slot.

My guess would be a "new" extractor was added with a moderen day one that just was not machined correctly.

Cannot see such a piece passsing DWM or Swiss inspectors with their finite measuring gauges.

At the low price of only $ 3300 for a M1900 Swiss, I am inclined to think the straw on this piece may not have been reworked, but the blue has been redone, nicely.

Given the geographical region of this gun shop and the fact these are consignment pieces, I would think they come out of a fairly talented gun-smith and refinisher's shop that resides in this region of the USA.

Could also be a Swiss reblue, but I would have thought the Swiss would have used one of their own Bern-made reinforced extractors...

More photos of this same gun over on Gun Broker...with a price that is $ 100 less...

As requested...some wanted to see a photo of a Swiss-made re-inforced extrator.

Here is a shot of one on a gun for sale with the Simpson folks.

Once in a while you will see this re-inforced extractor strawed as well, but usually in a blued finish :
