22 luger modification

so, this was made up by a gunsmith years ago, i bought this and a nice DWM toggle a few months back. Supposdely a 22 long rifle conversion, I bought it thinking what the heck ;)

It appears to be threaded for a new barrel, the threads are clean, and "look" smaller than a 9mm, but I am no expert...

I am unsure if it has a firing pin? How hard would it be to finish this beastie? is it worth it, or use it as trading material?

Ed,

It would have to be a hand operated single shot. The 22LR doesn't have the power to function the standard Luger action.

i think that is why this is lightened? it is differnent than I thought. I was thinking that Russ had a modified, but it might have been single shot?
