Top price for a top condition byf. DFW may be taking a cue from Simpson LTD.

Hi Doc, I think you are right on!! All of the internet dealers have gone absolutely wild with their prices. It's getting really nuts. I'm glad, as Keoki says, my widow will be very pleased!! :) :) :)

It's nice for the few of us that already have nice Lugers, but a real blast in the backside for those just starting out with small wallets!! :(

DFW Arms has some very expensive P.38s as well.

I have found....if you want one that is close to pristine, you gotta be willing to pay for it....they are not cheap...bought a minty 99% all matching 41 black widow, and paid 3,000.00 but i am very happy with it.

Biiiggggg difference between a 97% and a 99% Luger... Best to all, til...lat'r....GT

G.T. is right on...that extra 2% is where it really gets into your pocket, and an extra 2+% can put you into the take out a second mortgage category. Please consider my bias for early guns, but that notwithstanding, I would have to think long and hard about $3300 for a 97% "Black Widow" (whatever the heck that is).

The next thing will be that 1920 Commercials will be tagged "Gray Spinsters", and will be priced at $2000.

Yep, and a 1918 Erfurt without finish will be a 'white bride'.

Boy...

That is a whole lot of EXTRA money for a wee-bit of barrel engraving...

Wonder if that fellow is kin of the Swiss William Tell...???
