something I did not know

here is an excert from a GA add. I did not know that the suffix was code.

"On the front of the frame under the barrel is the serial number with a small cursive t underneath, which is the WW II ordinance code assigned to Dynamit AG, Troisdorf plant."

Hogwash.

Edward Tinker 10-23-2006 07:23 AM

 Kunta, I assume that you were kidding, but if not, then Ron's articulate statement is accuarate :p

This is a seller spouting nonsense they know nothing about..

The entire ad makes one wonder, "What is this guy smoking?"

Many guys bought 1917 or 1918 imperial lugers, with T S S marking on the right side of receiver as nazi stamped lugers...

Sorry, I thought my sarcasm showed more. I just thought it was a funny add. you can check it out on guns America, he has two adds that says the same thing.

That is why folks use the smiley buttons, because we can not tell via a posting if a guy is serious, using sarcasm or ?? :p

That is the most rediculous thing I have ever heard. Everybody knows that the "T" suffixed Lugers were made in Tuscaloosa. Who's he trying to kid...

Ron Wood 10-23-2006 10:36 AM

My "hogwash" statement was not directed at Kunta because I was pretty sure he recognized the ad as hyperbole.

Just like you Ron Wood to be so succinct and to the point... a man of few, but important words ! :D
