wood handles

i have a p-08 military. one of the handles is a little loose. i was advised that this is not uncommon as a result of shrinkage over the years. the luger was likely manufactored sometime prior to ww1.

You can minimize the movement of your grip by installing an appropriate rubber or neoprene O-ring under the screw... but I would get yourself a set of new grips for shooting if you do that... the old ones are too brittle and prone to breakage... you should use them only for display.

I would try Hugh Clark, He is the Luger grip expert on this forum.

It is good to see another New Jerseyan on this site.

I'd second that recommendation of getting replacement grips from Hugh.
I just purchased a set of his checkered Nills grips and they fit perfectly. There are cheaper ones out there, but like a lot of things you get what you pay for and you'll like what you get from him.
