Pics Added-Other .22cal "Lugers"
Last weekend I was up at the range where I do most of my shooting. The owner had a .22cal Luger style magazine. He said it did not fit in a Stoeger. He offered to let me take it home and try it in my Erma. Unfortunately I forgot to bring it home with me for comparison. I've since thought about it and I do not think it will fit my Erma. It is very clean, black with rounded edges along the vertical corners. The bottom is shiny aluminum that looks milled. I'll pick it up next time I go so I can get some picks. In the meantime, any ideas on what it may go to?

There are other .22 caliber look-a-likes besides Stoeger and Erma... the names of which escape me at the moment... it is a senior moment, so perhaps someone else can fill in the blank for me...

Sounds like an Erma alright, but not one of the new jobs but rather a conversion kit mag.

Got a hold of it today. Its a wee bit shorter than my Erma mag and again a wee bit too wide to go in. Its in 99% condition. The spring is strong and it does not appear to have ever been used.

It doesn't look like the old Erma .22 conversion mags to me... can anyone identify this for certain?
|
I should have tried this sooner, but it does not fit into my Luger. Therefore I will assume its not part of a conversion kit.

A local dealer has several of those in a box, labeled Luger. I thought they might be for the Stoeger at first, but they looked too good for the Stoeger with that nicely made aluminum base. I wonder what they are for. Maybe a fancy mag for a Ruger...

Nope doesn't work in that either. I'd have more luck getting the Erma mag to go in to my Ruger than this thing.
