Hi,
Interesting question. Also I have a fxo P.08 magazine with extruded blued body and ground aluminum base. It looks like it came from the Haenel?factory like this since there are no signs of disassembly. No military acceptance proofs (eagle37).

Why they were made without the numbering? For what type of Luger was the magazine intended? I bought the magazine together with a Genschow 1940 Luger holster.

this one does not look like it was taken apart, but it does look like a new grind. the alum. is much more brite where the serial number should be. also the base looks like it is almost level with the tube. I think it was ground on the tube.
