Luger identification and approx. value?
Some of you may know me from other forums having to do with the 1903 Springfield or other U.S. military weapons, but occasionally I get asked about German weapons, as well. A friend sent me several pictures of this Luger. As the serial numbers on the parts don't match, it appears to be a mixmaster. If you could give me some idea of its' heritage and approximate worth, I'll pass it along to my friend. I posted some pictures below and a link to more.
Thanks! Rick, welcome to the forum, yes, I know your name from gunboards, welcome to here.
This is a 1939, 42 (Mauser), reblued, and import marked, worth $500-$700, depending on the company you keep and the part of the country you live in. the "extra" magazine would be worth $85-$125, again, depending on the day of the week. Ed |
Thanks for the comments, Ed. I'll pass them along. Good luck on your book project. I'm writing one on the 1903 Springfield.
