Nice...if you like this sort of thing :

Should get lots of comments at the local shooting range.

The grips are my favorite.

They have a 4" luger for sale as well :

Didya notice that the swastika on the front of the grip frame is BACKWARDS! first of all, it is a shame to have devalued a good 1940 Mauser banner Luger this way... but then to do all that work and then do something this stupid is just unbelievable...

I agree,

It should come with an engraved bucket :)

This is where I will draw lots of darts from the crew, but I love the grips! I would love to get a set made just like them.
:D

Not that it matters in this case, if the value of the Luger has been butchered, but the ancient Buddhist swastika or 'manji', as the Japanese call it, can be twisted in either sense. The Nazis perverted a lot of things including this sacred symbol.

The swastika is also a Native American symbol.

Which way did it turn on the 45th Infantry patch?

John Sabato 09-12-2006 08:13 AM

Here is the pre-1939 patch for the 45th Infantry Division...

http://forum.lugerforum.com/lfupload...antrypatch.jpg

and the patch that replaced it when the symbol became closely associated with the Nazi Party in Germany... the 45th became the Thunderbird Division

http://forum.lugerforum.com/lfupload/45th_div.jpg

the 45th is one of the American Divisions recognized for liberation of concentration camps by the Holocaust Museum...

Both symbols are of American Indian origin... my previous comment still stands... notice that the ends of the swastika point in a clockwise manner... the one on the grip frame is backwards...

BTW, I am sure Hugh Clark could make you a set of grips like those, only the workmanship would be MUCH better... notice the border around the diamonds is not even on this example...
