Safe on US Soil

My son arrived approx 2345 local at Ft Carson last night. He begins "Do not kill your wife" training and demob tomorrow.

Suffice it to say, I thank the Almighty for his safe return and pray that other parents and relatives of those who were not so fortunate find peace and pride in their loved one's selfless service.

The only two people who have ever volunteered to die for us are Jesus Christ and the American soldier.

Glad he is safe and sound, and that he is having a "cooling" off period, he's had a hell of a lot of stress the last year or so...

After my son got back, I could start to breathe again...

Amen! Thanks to all who have sacrificed for our way of life... When you know them personally... it means even more... and that includes Tom's son, and Jesus...

Glad he is safe my friend.

He will join his wife in WVa today and then on Saturday be the guest of honor at a gathering of his friends and family I am hosting. Interestingly, a number of fellow collectors and some business associates of mine are dropping by just to shake his hand and say thank you.
