Jerry, Very nice! What does the inside and maker mark look like? Jerry Burney

Thanks for the very positive replies fellows, I wish I had the pistol that was originally in the holster! A guy I worked with for over 20 years was with the Big Red 1 during the war and picked the rig up in North Africa. He promised the rig to me when it was time to sell but somebody made him an offer he couldn't refuse behind my back for the pistol, a 1917 DWM that was in just beautiful condition, but as a "favor" to me he kept the holster out of the deal and gave it to me.

Jerry, there must have been a piece of some kind of tape over the maker's mark and it's very difficult to see anyway. This is the holster I emailed you about around the time you did a repair on my 1940 dated R. Ehrhardt a few years back. You sent me a list of maker's names and Hugo Pretzel was on the list. The attached pic shows how faint the stamp is.

Jerry, Really a nice one! Sorry to hear the pistol got away!
You might sprinkle some talcum powder over the mark. Might show up a little better but you already know what it is...
Thanks for the photo's. Now you need to find a pistol...Jerry Burney

Jerry,

That is one beauty of a holster. Take good care of that one. What a great shade of brown!!!

Holsters don't come any nicer than that. I've had cars and trucks that I would trade for it in a heartbeat...might even throw in some cash.

Thanks for looking at my holster and for all the kind words, it's very much appreciated. It's nice to hear from people who appreciate the finer things in life like Lugers.

Take care,

Jerry
