Russell,

Not a bad piece to hang on the wall as a "place holder" until you can mount a real one on the wall.

And since this is coming from TN, you can be certain the luger will not be all rusted over. Where the heck is "Buck Snort" anyways ???

Here is some Google info. on this little town :

" The Bucksnort Legend
How Bucksnort Got Its Name
Bucksnort is the unusual name of a small community on I-40 in Hickman County, Tennessee. You may think the community received its name because of the presence of a large number of deer found in the area. However, the most often told story about the naming of Bucksnort goes back to the 1880's to a trader living here by the name of Buck. Along with the items of an 1880's mercantile, it seems Buck also sold "Moonshine". People would say they were going to "Bucks to get a snort", hence the name "Bucksnort".

Gotta love it, Pete.

Sure hope them pesky revenuers from the ATF never caught up with old Buck.

That pic was a fold out in a magazine (Spiral bound) that was printed in 1960; it also had a great article about Hans Taucher. I have a copy somewhere in my library.
