My obsession of collecting.... 7 Reichswehr unit marks, 3 Weimar police unit marks, a Reichsmarine and Fieseler Aircraft Factory Guard Luger. I find the Weimar era of Germany's history very interesting. The early 20s in German was a very distemporate time. Several internal factions were fighting for control As many as 20 political assassinations a month while the Poles, Czechs and Russians were repeatedly attacking their eastern border.

Not proud. Just broke... and still missing the other 9,993 Reichswehr contract Lugers. I'll find them eventually.:D


This is the one that I would truly like to find, but the chances are slim to reverse of ever finding the matching Luger. Reichswehr Ministry , either supply or communications unit. Have never found an exact translation for the N. The B is either Berlin or Battalion.

Hello Ron,

The only thing I can say is that you have a bunch of beautiful lugers. Your collecting category is very interesting. That's the thing about collecting lugers, no end to categories that can be selected. I have often thought about making a list of categories but just never have got around to it. Maybe there is a list somewhere. I know you are short on money but you know as well as I do you only live once. Enjoy!!

I am fine and hope you are too. Thanks for the compliment on the box. I have been busy in these hot Tennessee woods killing copperheads and fighting the mosquitos, hornets, yellow jackets and all the other pestilence in this hot weather. I am looking forward to the cold weather so I can walk the woods without getting attacked. The last copperhead I stepped on was about 14 inches long. He tried to bite my boot and died trying to do it. He was short and stubby. You have to admire them because they are not afraid of anything.

I am attaching a photo of my luger stand I built and have it setting on my desk. I am going to sell the stand but first have to decide on a price. Maybe someone on the Forum will have an interest. It's 42 inches long and 7-1/2 inches wide. Holds 12 lugers for display.

You may have already seen all two of mine posted. Want to know something silly? I expect to be satisfied to complete my collection with just one more, an un-converted Navy Luger. Oh! and a C96!!

Thanks for the nice comments. Russel, I started out with one in 1965, HaHa I am ashamed to say it cost 65 $ US and that was kinda high. I hope you continue your collecting.

Ron, I am surprised you noticed the YoYo's. I made them for by beautiful grand daughter out of some beautiful black walnut burl. I try to make her as many of the homemade toys as I can, trying to get away from the store bought stuff. I don't think I can compete with what's available today. You know all that IPOD stuff!

Mauro, I made several of the Mauser plaques a few years ago. I will probably sell them on Ebay because it is so hard for me to establish a price. The attached foto shows a double sided plaque made out of white birch and American black walnut.

Made this little display a while ago as a thankyou token for a Dutch forum, I won the book in the center in a forum raffle, so I thought it would be a nice idea to dress up the book with my gun cabinet contents.

WOW !!!

The wooden grips on most of your lugers in the display look very clean and light in color.

Is there a special cleaning or treatment technique you use to clean up the dirt/grime from wooden grips ???

Hello Pete,

I think the flash from the camera created most of the light color. I am still using a 35mm Konica TC-2 I bought back in the 70's. I then scan the photos to get them on the putor. Most of the pistols you see had excellent grips on them and are darker than they appear in the foto. I do have my own personal cleaning process I have used for years. I hate to divulge it because of all the controversy it would cause.
