HELLO
 
hELLO TO PEOPLE IN THIS FORUM. mY NAME IS oZZY AND I AM THINKING ABOUT HAVING MY FIRST GUN. IS THE RUGER AND THE LUGER THE SAME OR DIFFERENT GUNS. THEY LOOK PRETTY SIMLER SO I ASSUME THEY WERE BOTH USED BY THE GERMANS. ONE MAN SAY HE HAS A GERMAN RUGER FROM WW2 IN MINT CONDITION FOR 780 DOLLARS. I RELLY WANT THIS IS THIS GOOD BUY?

Rugers were modern, post WWII, guns. They were a simple blow back design, unlike the Luger, and the Ruger did not have any toggle mechanism. They were commonly made in .22 cal.


Some people confuse the two NAMES, but there are ample pictures of the real thing here on the forum to check.


As for what you are being offered, the price (value) depends on condition, rarity, originality, and the local market. If you could give us some more details, such as year, markings, numbering, grip type, import stamps, etc... some one might give you a better idea of it's worth....
