Away From Home

Guys,

I am in Washington State for about 3-4 months and was wondering if there are any members from the Wenatchee, Washington area on the Forum?

I need to find some C&R shops, or other good gun shops in the area for Saturday adventures. I have found two in Wentachee and will check them out Suturday afternoon. Sure is tough not having my "toys" with me, LOL!

I'm from the west "wet" side of Washington. I don't know of any shops near Wenatchee that have any good C&R toys around. If you want to drive north a bit, there is a nice small gun shop in the town of Riverside. If you get to the west side of the state there are a number of good gun shops here.........

Marvin,

That does put you sort of in the boonies, doesn't it? While you are in the area there will probably be a Washington Arms Collector's gun show in Puyallup. I don't know the schedule offhaand, but likely someone else here does.

Also, on August 19 the Oregon Arms Collectors in Portland will be having their annual two-day show.

Both of these locations are a long morning's drive for you, but you might find them worth the time.

Also, if it interests you, Oregon is a full-auto-friendly state and there might be subgun shoots in the area while you are here.

Thanks for the info guys! I will let you know how the two shops in Wenatchee are Saturday evening after my little Jaunt to Levenworth for some German food. Yea, I know it is a tourist town and the food is not German, but it is close anyway. I hope to take a nice walk on one of the trails in the Cascades too, but I will see how time goes.

I have a copy of "Gun List" and will keep check on the shows in the area. I may have to go to Bellingham in a few weeks and I will check on gun shops there. If the price of guns are as high as gasoline and food is here, I can't affor these firearms, LOL. Gasoline is approx. .50-.75 higher per gallon here than in SC, food is approx. 10% higher, and sales tax is 3% higher. I need a raise to work here!

Marvin, I was born and raised in the Tri-Cities, WA, and until 3 years ago lived in Palouse, the dry "desert" side, most folks think all of WA is like the duck wet side :D. Wenatchee is kinda in the middle of no where but I did buy one of my first pistols at a gun show there.
