FSJ holster

Basic instinct tells me this is a repro but something about it keeps drawing me back. What do you think?

RK, Boy that is one neat holster, makes you wish the Germans had the good sense to make us collectors some! BUT, they did not. This is a very well made repro. there is no way this was made by a German Saddler in 1939. The most glaring error, and there are sundry, is the Eagle. He is flying looking the wrong way. It should be reversed.
The first error in construction is the closure strap. This sewing here is WW1 style and is not tied off properly from the underneath. The tip is squared off and lined on the flat improper tip. I have NEVER seen an original Luger holster done this way. This and there is no edge line on the strap keeper tab. They always put one here...They got a lot of details right but many wrong. I could go on but you get the drift. It just does not ring true to me. I love the look of it and might have one as a curiosity if it were cheap but I bet dollars to doughnuts the owner is convinced it's authentic. Jerry Burney
