Field Armorer's Repair Kit
The excuse often provided for many mismatched Lugers is that it was a "field repair" or "armorer's replacement." Based on the number of times I've heard that I sort of thought there must have been an inordinately number of field armorers. Anyway, I found this German Army Field Armorer's repair kit for sale. Info says it was for M#34s, MG42s, K98s, and P08s.

Really nice!!!
Well done Mauro |
I found it, didn't buy it. 1500 Euro price. Sorry for the misunderstanding. I changed the wording.

Hell of a price but first one I ever seen that looks complete.
|
An amazing find RK... lots of tools but what about spare parts? was that a separate kit?
I would love to know what the items in the compartment where the P.08 Firing Pin Guage and magazine tool are... |
Various headspace gauges and dummy cartridges for checking extractors and function.
|
An outstanding, and seemingly complete, armorer tool kit. There was another armorer wooden chest (rather like a foot locker with removable drawers) that held parts.
|
I am not expert in the WWII tools and accessories. I am wondering it this kind of tools are presented in books or in some historical pictures.
Cheers, Mauro |
Guys,
I got it. Actually it is really nice to me. I have some other stuff from the same period (Mauser Firing Pin Gauge, Mauser sight adjusting tool, caliber gauges...) with which I can complete the kit more in the P08 perspective. I will not receive it before three weeks. I will post a complete set of photos as soon as the kit is in my hands. Concerning the price, it is the first time that I see a such complete kit therefore I do not have reference. Many thanks to Roadkill that shares with us his discover. Cheers, Mauro |
Congratulations! Glad to have been able to help.

Mauro,
That is the most complete Kit I have ever seen! Congratualtions on the purchase. Now, this would look good in my collection with the MG42 below: http://i34.photobucket.com/albums/d1...2_Lafette1.jpg |
Marvin, there were some MG42 repair tools floating around there too. If interested let me know and I'll link you up with them.
