Real Or Not Real ???
|
Looks bogus to me Pete... There is not a clear image of the KM stamp, but it doesn't look good from what I see in the photo..
the contours look more like a Finnish tool (or possibly Post war East German) to me instead of a WW1 or WW2 German tool ... The Luger loading tool is on page 30 of the Luger Blueprint CD that I offer in the For Sale forum... you can see the proper tool contours and measurements there... |
Pete, I agree with John, The whole thing just dosen't look right. I have three original Imperial Navy marked loading tools, they are a thing of beauty. This looks bad...Jerry Burney

Yep...I did not like the overall squarish-shape of the tool and the photo does not give much detail to the stamping or engraving...
Saving the e-Bay photo, here...for future reference : http://forum.lugerforum.com/lfupload..._navy_tool.jpg |
Did you notice that the same guy has an oiler type cleaning rod that is also KM stamped? If I had a stack of $3 bills to pay for it, I would bid.
|
One of the Navy guys is bidding on the oiler...
I do not recall seeing such an indentation on the rod close to the hozzle connection...??? http://forum.lugerforum.com/lfupload/navy_oiler_2.jpg http://forum.lugerforum.com/lfupload/navy_oiler_1.jpg |
He also has a KM holster with a shoulder strap.??
|
The loading tool has the exact outline of the Finnish tool.
Note that the back of the tool is not shown. The Finns did not machine into the tool back the grooves that match the magazine contours. Having noted all this, it seems odd that someone would be so foolish as to offer such a poorly conceived and implemented bogus tool. |
Luke, Thanks, This is something I never knew...The Finns did not machine into the tool back the grooves that match the magazine contours. I appreciate this good info! Jerry Burney

Pete,
The indentation is there because he either didn't or couldn't screw the rod all the way into the base. |
This entire ofering is a fraud. The seller is either trying to decieve or is ignorant. Run away.
