Yuch!

Interesting! Thanks for posting. I think I would rate this a lot higher than a Yuch Don. It shows some craftsmanship and a migration of the Luger theme into other art forms. I would like to know the artists thoughts in choosing the Lancaster Daisies and sortof Nantucket theme for the decoration. I would guess this was not easy to execute.

I'm thinking more of a sea captain or submarine type motif. I wisk I could make out the inscription.

Royalties

I wonder how much the porcelain company paid to Wes to allow them to represent his face on their product?

P.S. He should've shaved the day he went over to pose!

This item, or one like it, was the subject of a thread some time ago. I don't recall if it was this forum or Jan's. As I recall, the "artist" makes several representations of firearms, Luger being only one of them. I think they are Delft, and the workmanship is pretty good. From the pieces I saw, the theme on some them were a bit radical and could be considered politically offensive. I'll keep looking for the thread.

Yes, definitely made in the Netherlands. I remember many years ago seeing them on a trip through Holland.

Hi Tac.
For whatever it is worth, I got the pun. I am particularly fond of puns, but since many believe they are the lowest form of humor I catch a lot of grief when I do it. Who cares...puns are fun. (BTW, I doubt seriously that you offended anyone)
Cheers!

Tac and Ron: One of the constant perils in puns is they will be over the head of your audience.

I thought it a good pun, but Igg appears to be wincing in that post.

I don't get it...

Look for a thread titled "Oddity" in the Luger Accessories section. Info. on the artist that makes them was listed there by Gerben...

Here are some bio links to the artist :
