Hello to all.
After cleaning I have found a marking (look like a crown and a letter) on the cap of the cap from the shoulder board. Can please someone say what this is? Thanks and best regards. Olivier |

Olivier, it is an Imperial German Army acceptance stamp similar to that on your stock. I have seen several toe boots marked like that.

Thanks Geo for the answer.

I believe that George is correct. But, if I may offer a second opinion, it looks like it may be a crown "R" and it may be a old German monarchies way of reserving this for a future gift to your favorite artillery Luger collector on his birthday or as a Christmas present. :roflmao: This is just a thought. :D Big Norm |
Most succinct and knowledgable comment Norm has ever made :-)

The toe boot on my Arty has the sigh J/B on it. Pretty sure it stands for Jerry Burney!

Hello to all and in particular to Big Norm (Norman)
Sir Norman you say "But, if I may offer a second opinion, it looks like it may be a crown "R" and it may be a old German monarchies way of reserving this for a future gift to your favorite artillery Luger collector on his birthday or as a Christmas present." No no and no if there was an crown with an BN (for Big Norm) or a N (for Norman) then YES. LOL Thanks for the interest of this holster and shoulder. Olivier |
