He got a $20 offer. Things are looking up.

Hey Tom A. you could probably walk away with it for $25. :)

I really think Tom A. should have this fine weapon. What do you think Tom, a great shooter, decorator and all around rare piece?????

Just a note of interest. I had a factory gold plated Universal Enforcer, which is a carbine cut down to pistol size. Of course, it is only legal because the factory made it this way and recorded it as a pistol. The frame and most parts were of postwar manufacture. When I bought it some years ago it was reputed to come from the John Wayne estate, though there was no documentation and I certainly didn't pay for the story. Besides the blue finish it was made in gold and chrome plate. The catalogue lists a stainless steel model, but I have never seen one offered for sale. Anyway, any factory finish not blue is considered rare. It's a fairly reliable little pistol, but mine had a nasty habit of kicking the empties right into my face when firing from the hip. When I finally tired of it, it did sell for $600. It seems that there are people who actually collect these things!

I have not really followed this and GP carb., have very little interest in the poor guy selling it,or in the gun its self...I guess he's been banned and no doubt do to his own mis-behaving, perhaps was pushed once or twice into it and could not defend him self any other way but to push back??...but regardless of past dealings, he is no longer here to stand up for him self....while the GP carb will linger in our memorys, lets don't ridicule him or the gun here any more....as a 13 year old I came home one day with what I remember as a beautiful some type of grip safety P08, I think the price was $12.00, I got rid of the gun the next day because my dad did not want me have a hand gun...now there you can poke all kinds of fun to mean sprited jokes at me and I will laugh along with you....it been a rough few months and I just feel sorry for the mistakes sometimes in us....

well said Howard.

BTW, I saw on gunboards that the price has been lowered on it. Of course, I think it'd look kind of cool on my wall, but thats how I am :)

Howard,

No offense, but I see nothing posted here, that is"mean spirited" nor demeaning the owner of the carbine. We were joking about the gun. Which is a pretty garish and gawdy item no matter who may own it.
